This started out as a random sketch yesterday, and I just had to color it. Even if it was a little rushed, it was fun to do. Traditional art can be very relaxing. I've only drawn cats a couple of times. It's good to change things up a bit, even if it's a fictional, genderless, and ultimately crazy cat at that.

I'm quite pleased with this, although it turned out to be a little lynx-ish. I thought the markings would unravel as he disappears, to leave only his grin. I made his whiskers yellow like his eyes, so they could glow. :}

I don't quite know why, but I've always been fascinated with the Cheshire Cat. I'm always drawn to the different things, and Cheshire is no exception. I wonder if Lewis Caroll was on drugs.
